Cavotec's automated mooring technology, MoorMaster™, wins two awards celebrating engineering. Firstly, the technology was a key component in the Port Hedland Port Authority (PHPA) and Pinc Group’s successful entry for the 2011 Western Australia Engineering Excellence Awards. The second award was the Australia Bulk Handling Award 2011 for Best Practice in Occupational Health & Safety.

Commissioning of the 14 MoorMaster™ MM200B (bulk) units at Port Hedland in Western Australia is proceeding smoothly, with full hand-over expected in the coming weeks. On September 29, the 225m iron carrier Huang Shan Hai was successfully moored and held without ropes.
