Global engineering group Cavotec, the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the historic Battleship IOWA museum unveiled a public Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) educational exhibit during a recent reception commemorating Battleship USS IOWA’s new shore-side power connection, close to the Port of Los Angeles’ World Cruise Center.

We showcased our AMP technologies at last week’s PortTechEXPO in Los Angeles, an event we also sponsored. It was organised by non-profit business incubator Port Tech LA. This year’s event, the fourth of its kind, featured some 100 clean technologies, with more than 300 civic and local and global business leaders in attendance. Read more here.

Cavotec starts shooting new company film

We currently have a small, dedicated film crew making a lightening tour of Europe, Australia and the US to shoot material for our new company film. The stars of this film are our ground support equipment at airports and our automated mooring and shore power systems at ports. Keep track of our progress as we Cavotec our way around the world in 11 and a half days.
