As the rate of passenger growth accelerates, and pressure to reduce costs and increase revenues intensifies, airports face significant operational challenges. IATA forecasts that more than 7.2 billion passengers will travel in 2035, doubling from 3.8 billion in 2016.

Cavotec has won a number of orders for its innovative aircraft ground support systems for applications in Australia, China, Colombia, Germany, Italy and the US, the largest of which is for Hong Kong International Airport. The orders, all received in 4Q16, have a combined value of more than EUR 11 million.

Cavotec UK recently completed a successful move to new and larger premises in Stockton-on-Tees, a site ideally suited to the company’s future growth and expansion. Working closely with landlord UK Land Estates, Cavotec UK has also overseen the full redevelopment of the site.

Global engineering group Cavotec has won orders worth more than EUR 27 million for its innovative aircraft servicing systems at applications worldwide, including China, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Turkmenistan, UAE and the US. The majority of these orders are scheduled for delivery in 2015, barring any adjustments from customers.
